The Future of the England team Empty The Future of the England team

OK, so at the moment, things are looking fairly bleak for the English national squad. However, we are constantly hearing of the future that our side possesses. So lets evaluate the "talented" youth of the country.

    Joe Hart
    - GK - From what we saw, a great keeper. However, now with Shay Given being signed by Manchester City; his chances of appearing in the first team are extremely slim.

Gabriel Agbonlahor - ST - OK, this is perhaps the most talked about talent in the English game at the moment. We've all seen what he can do at Aston Villa and there's no denying, he possesses great talent. Him and Ashley Young as a duo are near unstoppable and I expect him to be leading the English strikeforce in the years to come.

Ashley Young - RW - Bought from Watford for £10 million. Many questioned this purchase, since then he hasn't looked back. Dubbed the man to take over from David Beckham, Young is a player that possesses immense pace and can score goals as well as provide them. Expect to see him cement a role in the England squad soon.

Theo Walcott - ST - Yes, we saw Walcott's phenomenal performance against Croatia but since then, his performances have dipped. However, the thought of Walcott & Agbonlahor upfront will cause defenders to shake in their boots. Rightly so.

Please, comment on my opinions and feel free to add your own. Thanks!

Yeah I would've put him but apparently Manchester City aren't going to offer him a new contract. Christ knows why because he looks to have bags of potential. Although, this could go either one of two ways:

    1. His descend starts upon his release. Struggles to settle at a club and before we know it he'll be the next Stefan Moore. Remember him? Didn't think so, he plays for Kidderminster now. (I think)

    2. He'll be snapped up by someone like Wigan or Fulham and from there on, he'll go on to bigger and better things.

Micheal Johnson-Kid also has loads of pontential

Lennon- people seem to have forgotten his performences in the world cup how he was englands best player in that tournament.

Glen johnson-Just hes a good right back and will hold that place for many years

Jack Wiltshire-This ones hard to judge but he has the potential to be a great player if he stays at Arsenal

Micah Richards- Strong, quick and a natural talent he is the future England Centre back
